Sherford – Reserved matters planning application submitted

Barcroft Estates, through the Mercroft joint venture with Mercian Developments, has submitted a reserved matters planning application for a new 72-bed purpose-built care home at Sherford, the major new town development east of Plymouth. The application represents the next stage in progressing the scheme, following the outline planning consent secured for the care home.
A key focus of the design has been ensuring that the new home sits comfortably within the emerging character of Sherford. The proposals have been developed closely in response to the neighbourhood design code, with the form, scale, materials and detailing carefully considered to integrate the care home seamlessly into the wider development. Located close to a proposed primary school and local centre, the scheme will provide high-quality care accommodation as an integral part of the new community and will be delivered for Cinnamon Care Collection.
