Barcroft Estates has exchanged contracts to acquire land at the former RAF Upwood site in Cambridgeshire, identifying an opportunity to deliver a new purpose-built care home as part of the wider regeneration of the former airfield. The proposed development comprises a 70-bed care home within a major new residential community of approximately 450 homes.
The opportunity forms part of Barcroft’s strategy of integrating high-quality specialist care provision within wider residential developments. The care home will provide private and specialist dementia care, creating a dedicated facility for older people within the emerging community and supporting the wider regeneration of the former RAF site.
