The Project
Barcroft is bringing forward proposals for a new 70-bed purpose-built care home within Dinan Way, an established mixed-use urban extension in Exmouth.
The project provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality, modern care accommodation within an established and growing community, complementing the wider mix of residential and community uses already being delivered at Dinan Way.
Positive pre-application engagement has taken place with the Local Planning Authority, providing a strong foundation for the development of the proposals. The scheme is currently progressing through the design stage, with the emerging design being carefully developed to respond positively to both its immediate setting and the wider character of the Dinan Way development.
The project is being brought forward through Propco (Dinan Way) Ltd, a joint venture between Barcroft Estates and the wider development company.
The Location
Dinan Way forms part of an established mixed-use urban extension on the northern side of Exmouth, providing a sustainable setting for new development within an expanding community. The area benefits from a range of existing and emerging residential, commercial and community uses, with Exmouth town centre and its extensive amenities located nearby.
Exmouth is an attractive coastal town with a strong local community and a wide range of shops, restaurants, leisure facilities and community services. The town also benefits from good transport connections and its attractive coastal and countryside setting, making it an appealing location for a new purpose-built care home.
Barcroft's Role
Barcroft is leading the development of the proposed care home through Propco (Dinan Way) Ltd, working in partnership with the wider development company.
Following positive pre-application engagement with the Local Planning Authority, Barcroft is progressing the design of the scheme to ensure that the care home responds appropriately to its immediate surroundings and integrates positively within the wider Dinan Way urban extension.
The project demonstrates Barcroft’s ability to work collaboratively within larger development projects to deliver specialist care accommodation that forms an integral part of an established new community.
